These are not vacation rentals or part of a crowded resort development. The vision behind Villas de Lalaing is intentionally small-scale, quiet, and independent: a limited collection of private homes for people who value space, tranquility, and a more grounded way of living.
Developed by a Dutch family who personally shaped the land over several years, the atmosphere is warm, natural, and thoughtfully created.

Villas de Lalaing was created by a Dutch family who, after traveling extensively around the world, consciously chose Mexico as the place where they wanted to build a different kind of life.
Barbara de Lalaing: "Two and a half years ago, we arrived in Yucatán and slowly transformed raw land into our own private paradise — a place centered around nature, space, freedom, and meaningful living.
Rather than creating a large-scale development or resort-style community, Villas de Lalaing has intentionally remained small, quiet, and personal. We are looking for neighbors who appreciate the beauty, peace, and authenticity of this unique part of Yucatán as much as we do.
On our own adjacent family property, we have created tropical gardens, jungle walking paths, a small waterfall, a traditional bird and poultry yard with chickens and ducks, and a medicinal Mayan garden.
My husband Armand, an art historian, is also gradually placing artworks throughout the grounds, adding a subtle artistic character to the natural environment.
Every part of Villas de Lalaing has been shaped with personal care and hands-on involvement by our family, creating a warm and authentic place with soul and character."
